Yoga Workshops and Classes
A regular yoga practice can help you quiet your mind, cultivate equanimity and compassion, develop resolve to make necessary changes in your lifestyle, and engender a sense of happiness at simply being alive.
Yoga can help relieve headaches, chronic pain, colds, insomnia, menstrual cramps, stress, anxiety, depression, fatigue, and menopausal symptoms. Yoga poses improve cardiovascular, immune, nervous, and digestive system functioning.
Doing yoga releases physical tension and emotional upset, and leaves you feeling relaxed yet energized. By focusing on both flexibility and strength, yoga improves the functioning of your body in your everyday activities as well as in sports.
Whether you’re stiff, physically challenged, a newcomer to yoga, or haven’t done it in years, start from where you are - you can only feel better!

BIO
My yoga teacher training, with Deb Neubauer, was in the Anusara Yoga style, founded by John Friend (www.anusara.com). Yoga workshops and classes are a source of continual learning and delight, and I love bringing what I learn back to my students.
With huge thanks and deep gratitude to my Anusara teachers: John Friend, Deb Neubauer, Sara Rose, Desiree Rumbaugh, Andrew Rivin, Doug Keller, and others; also to Eileen Muir, Matthew Sanford, Edward Clark of Tripsichore Yoga, Angela Farmer, Erich Schiffmann, Richard Rosen, and Douglas Brooks. Profound appreciation and thanks always to my yoga buddies and students for the incredible community created through dedication and love.

"That was the best yoga class I have ever taken! I felt so at ease, relaxed, yet totally energized and rejuvenated. I have been trying to keep in alignment when I'm walking - it's amazing how much my upper body normally leans forward, and I've come to realize that I often walk with my head down."
